Centre Management

As Nought to Five Early Childhood Centre is a not-for-profit organisation, the operations of the centre are overseen by a Management Committee, made up of parents with children at our centre.

The Management Committee makes all major legal, financial, employment, planning and policy making decisions. They employ the Centre Director to manage the centre on a day-to-day basis and be responsible for the supervision of staff.

Every parent (by way of paying enrolment fees) is automatically a member of the Association (note, the Association is not the Management Committee). Access and involvement with the Association can be achieved via:

  • The Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in August of each year.
  • Nominating for positions available at the AGM.
  • Monthly Management Committee Meetings (for committee members only) concerning general business, held on the second Tuesday of each month.

Parents may also like to be involved in a sub-committee. These are formed from time to time when a particular project requires a greater focus than the monthly meetings.
