Staff Team

 At Nought to Five we recognise that our staff are our greatest asset and we believe they are the backbone to the nurturing, development and education of your child.

We make every effort to recruit and retain the best possible early childhood staff to educate and care for your child. All our educators are either fully qualified or studying towards an Early Childhood Degree or Diploma in Children's Services.  (Recent changes require a minimum Certificate III in Children's Services.)

At Nought to Five we pride ourselves on the length of service of many of our staff members. Our success rests in part on our dedication to 'growing our own staff'. 50% of our team have been with us for over 5 years, and our longest serving staff member retired in March 2020 - after having been with us for 25 years.


Staff are provided with training opportunities throughout their employment to enhance their skills and keep up-to-date with current knowledge of best practice in early childhood. Training also includes updating staff knowledge in relation to their legislative responsibilities of Child Protection, First Aid, and Safe Food Handling.

Working with Children Check

To ensure the safety of all our children and to comply with the Child Protection (Prohibited Employment) Act 1998 and the Commission for Children & Young People Act 1998, all full time, part time and casual employees must provide us with a Working With Children Check number. This will be verified by us to confirm they are cleared to work with children.
